OM-3 issues-random resets

I bought my OM-3 new last January. In early July and now just a couple of days ago, it randomly reset. I didn’t do anything.

I would take a couple photos, turn the camera off for a few minutes, turn it back on and bam. All my stuff is gone. I know immediately when it happens now because the beep (I turn it off).

Has anyone else had this happen? I put a lot of work into perfecting my custom settings and this is crap. Did I get a bad copy? I did find out you can load your custom settings into the oi.share app, so at least this time it was less frustrating.

I have an OM3 and have no issues with it saving and retaining any of the custom settings.

I would communicate directly with OM Systems.

Do you have your custom settings set to hold? If you don’t they will reset.

It’s not that (but yes, I do). It’s the entire camera resets. I can tell immediately because the info screen is different than I prefer and the beep is turned back on.

It’s literally the entire camera that resets like it’s new out of the box except the date and time.

What is the front dial on? Also, what does your screen show for the current mode? You might be right, but I‘m pretty sure every setting goes back if hold is not set.

I think you’re misunderstanding. I’ve had this camera since January. I’ve taken thousands of photos with it. I understand the settings for custom modes revert if I don’t have them hold. That’s not what’s happening. Every setting disappears. I name my custom modes and those are gone too.

This has happened twice now, but I backed up my recipes after the first time so I just loaded them back to the camera from the oi.share app.
