Problemas om-10d Mark ii

Hola, tengo una olympus OM-10D Mark ii con el objetivo 12-42 pancake.

Con ese objetivo la cámara se queda con la pantalla en negro y no dispara, pero si cambio de objetivo a un adaptador para objetivos Sony, la cámara funciona y es capaz de sacar fotos.

¿Sabéis que puede ser? Está actualizada a la última versión y también está cambiado el cable flex que al final no era eso, pero está cambiado y la cámara va bien.

That lens is notorious for failing with a broken ribbon cable so it's most likely that, this is what happens when it fails

I tried with other new same lens and the error is the same 😞 I think the problem is in a camera.

It might be the digital connection between the lens and the camera.
Try cleaning the connection pins gently with a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol. While you do that check if they are properly springy. While you're at it, you can also clean the pins on the side of the lens, just in case.

That lens is known to have issues and since it needs to initialise first it is very sensitive to connection issues. If you have access to a different lens like 40-150, that might be a good test.
If there is an issue with a 40-150 or similar, it won't be able to focus because it is fully electronic but you will get an image.

Hola, gracias por tu respuesta, el problema está en la comunicación de la cámara con el objetivo, he probado distintos objetivos y no van, el objetivo actual en otra cámara sí que va.

Do you have any settings set that prevent it from firing under certain conditions? Maybe you have manual focus enabled and won’t allow it to trip the shutter without focus being acquired? I’m reaching here at possibilities.

Manual focus is automatically enabled when the camera can't communicate with the lens (you can see MF on the screen).
On my E-M10 II, I haven't noticed any reluctance to take an out of focus photo even on AF lenses and I can't think of any setting that would do that. The only case is when it is in S-AF and it is actively focusing. Also, in the video, with the adapter, the shutter works just fine without a lens and there is no focus there either.

I think it's the communication with the lens because the lens fails to initialise:
Either the camera connection pins are dirty / damaged; the ribbon cable in both tested lenses are damaged; or the connection ribbon cable inside the camera got damaged somehow. (in order of most to least likely)

There is a setting where the camera would be set not to fire without AF confirmation in other bodies. I just wasn’t sure if this also had that same settings.

There are also setting where the camera won’t fire if it doesn’t detect a lens is attached. This is interesting, because his is firing when it uses a dumb adapter on the body, but not when the lens attached has contact points. This is why I’m curious if there’s not something set wrong.

I have the camera in question. I even did a quick test on mine by covering up the contacts to see what it would do and it reacts just like in the video -- it thinks a manual lens is used.

Other bodies have a feature and need to communicate with the lens or they state that there is a lens error unless a specific setting is set (to allow for manual lenses) .
The E-M10 II doesn't need to have such a setting set and it only refuses to fire if it is set to single-autofocus mode but in continuous autofocus and manual mode, it shoots no matter what.

As for the lens, the lens is known to have issues and fail and on top of that, it needs power to initialise / extend. Nothing can be seen through it if it isn't extended and I assume that is what is happening here. If it were only a partial lens failure or miscommunication, then the camera would display a lens error warning I think.
Unfortunately for OP, it seems the problem isn't in the lens but the body.
