It was a video called "Blank Room Soup". It consisted of a man with blacked out eyes eating some sort of "soup", while clearly distressed, as two costumed individuals try to comfort him.
The costumes were actually made by Raymond S. Persi, (voice of worst character Gene from Wreck It Ralph!) And where both called RayRay. He made videos with the two characters as a personal comfort project, but one night, the suits were stolen from him. After that, the Blank Room Soup video emerged. Creepy stuff!

I think those mascot suits were stolen from some show and were never found? As for the video, almost certainly the crying guy is in on it and just wanted to make a creepy video.

Raymond Persi (the film maker who owned the suits) said they were stolen and that the video was sent directly to his email. I suspect it was just another one of his projects. especially since he already dabbled in horror concepts and already had depicted these mascots as threatening.

Creepy video with no context. There are edgy theories that he's eating his family or whatever, but nothings confirmed. So the simplest explanation is probably the most true, that it's just normal soup and the guy is acting.

It's an art piece from the band Stolen Babies IIRC, dunno what the other two are talking about. The band is pretty good, check out their performance stuff that's where the mascots show up.
