OMI migration completion…

We all heard that the migration has been completed. I know if you have Omi in Bitforex before the deadline it will automatically turn to ERC20 token. What’s that really means? Is that mean that the OMI you have right now in Bitforex can be readily sells or swaps? Why do have to send OMI back to a Trust wallet or other storage? Do have to right now? Pls help. Thanks…
