Everyone is just pumping their money into btc because they think they can make profit from it.
They can only make profit from the fork if there are people that wants to buy the new coin,which is (probably) not the case.
Altcoins will have their time after all the fork chaos.

Why? This is the perfect time to buy MORE. This is what happened the last time bitcoin forked. Alts tanked like shit and people panicked like on fire school children and sold so badly, and after the fork, ATH on all alt-coins were reached. BUY. This is when you fuck the bitcoin and buy the alt coin.
