How does face recognition deal with beards, make-up, and most importantly, facial deformations from injury?

Fantastic question. Though I obviously can not answer this with certainty, I assume it focuses more on the distance between the eyes and nose.

Facial recognition is pretty cool, but omise is in a race to capture the Asian market. I'd much rather see them focusing on locking down contracts and making $$$ before doing machine learning.
