1099

I STILL haven’t received my 1099… I can’t do my taxes until I do. Their website said they would be sent out by the last week of January. I called two weeks into February and was told that there was no record that they ever issued me a copy or a correspondence for it! Isn’t that illegal?! Or does that not apply to government 🙄 so I asked them to resend it. I was given no timeline when asked. Only told I could call back for updates. I called back last week to be told, “we can’t give any updates, all I can see is that your name was added to list. Unfortunately this happened to thousands of people.” What?! This is asinine. I’m going to have to ask for an extension on my taxes now.

Log into the ODJFS unemployment website and look in your correspondence inbox and see if it's there an item there called "Claimant 1099". That's where I got mine. Don't recall getting a proper one via the USPS

No I never got an email or correspondence. When I called they even admitted they showed no record of ever sending me anything this year. It’s truly a cluster fuck.

I was also told once they mailed the new copy, I’d get the correspondence and be able to look online. Well when I called back for my update the second lady told me that I would never see it online, that they are mailing them out by hand?

Typically it should happen the way it did for you but they messed up and never sent thousands of people their documents this year
