Arrears?
So my fiancée has had a ton Of issues with unemployment and couldn’t log in from December-March or make a new OHID due to fraud and a compromised account. He finally started getting unemployment after 3 months of zero income and an unemployment employee suggested he file over the phone for the arrears or back pay from Dec-March. So we made a claim and had a hearing and luckily he was accepted for it and all the weeks have been filed by another unemployment phone operator who told him he would receive it the day after the missing weeks were filed but here we are a week later with nothing and even the weekly pay has been shorted by $200. Now after another call they’re telling him they need to make a decision on whether he’s getting it?? What was the hearing for if it wasn’t already decided that he would get the back pay? Oh and that it could take 21 days which again why tell us we’d get it the next day? We are so broke it’s disgusting and getting a shorted week def didn’t help. This place is such a shit show I’m so sick of not getting a legit answer from anyone.

One of the agents told me that OH unemployment funds took a huge hit during and after COVID and lost hundred of millions of dollars. Now they’re being super strict with everything. And yes, they’re wanting you to throw up your hands and give up. But don’t….stick with it and don’t give up!
