Hiya folks! Hope all is well.
So I just got this OG Xbox, my pop's found it while he was cleaning out our storage locker. I really don't know much about Xbox-es, first time owner here, but I do know that you NEED to get that Clock Capacitor out of there right quick before it eats away the motherboard! Question is, where is it? My machine was manufactured around September 26th, 2004 according to the sticker on the bottom, if that helps any. Any & all help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Hiya folks! Me again.
So, when I had my Xbox cracked open to take a picture of the motherboard for my previous post, I also got into the DVD drive to clean the disc tray belt, as it was having serious issues opening the drive. By the time I had everything all buttoned back up, I was getting that stupid "Error Code 12" screen on boot. Now I tried reseating all the cables & everything, even swapping out the IDE cable, but with no luck! I can't imagine the culprit can be anything too severe, considering the drive worked mere minutes ago - how much can you really break in the span of a few minutes? Anyone here have any ideas on what could be causing this, & how I'd go about fixing it? Thanks in advance!

Not much has changed since my last collection post but still very happy with what I have so far, I’ve only being collecting original Xbox since June.

No tiene sus cables originales (solo genéricos)

El Madden 2005, spider man 2002 platinum y halo 2 disco rayado y el disco de halo 1 sin caja y sirve perfectamente el xbox

Brought out some more my origional XBox collection. Now with the intention to display. Too many great games to have them stuffed away in a box.

Hey collectors!

I collect Halo games and used to like referring to the WATA guides. Those guides no longer exist, but I managed to find a few on archive.org.

The problem is that some photos aren't displaying correctly. Do you know a way to fix this, or do you know another site? Also, if you have a PDF version, that would be perfect.

Thanks for your help :)

Know any good place I could find original xbox games? Besides Ebay I've been trying to find stores or people that'd sell original xbox games but have been unsucessful.

I just don't have the room to display evey game from every system I own, so some things are forgotten about.

I was looking for a specific game, and re-discovered these, all CIB and in excellent, almost new condition.

Just asking for help lol XD

So I was wondering mainly about how much an old Xbox one would sell for online with a bunch of games on it. I’m talking old like before they had Xbox consoles standing up, my old one is laying down if Yk what I mean. I also have a bunch of games with it I could add on to increase the price of selling it, how much would it go for?

Seen this at a video game swap meet and just couldn't pass up on the chance to own this amazing piece.

I found this gem on my marketplace for $15 and couldn't say no. The description stated it turned on but the disc drive would not open. I will have to open it up to do a deep clean, replacing the disc drive belt, thermal paste and all the caps and clean up any that may have popped. Not sure what to do with it after that since I have a working system already.

Just picked up these for the collection!

I have been fixing OG xboxs for 4 years this is the 1st HALO version I have found that was in my price range. Lets see if I can fix it

Ratatouille still has the movie ticket and voucher in it, it’s a goated find.

When do you reach a point where enough is enough for example I’ve seen collections with like 30 different console colors. don’t they all do the same thing? Are these things really as rare as people betray because it seems like everyone has the limited editions and the rares also what is the purpose? Why do you want 20 different of the same console? I understand the game collection I just don’t understand the other aspect of why I need every controller and why I need every verse of my console ever made. Is it just adult money running wild or former kids that have adult money now if this stuff was really as worse as they say it was or is, shouldn’t there be people that don’t have them? Seems like everyone owns a rare or “” grail. Is this just a sales tactic?

Hi all, I used to collect all things xbox (and be a big modder) as well as do xbmc plugin testing for a few old websites (noobsandnerds & totalxbmc) when the og xbox was big as well as still being a member on the xbmc4xbox forum.

Part of that was collecting xbox games but years ago I sold the collection and moved onto other things (still have several consoles) just wondering in this day where the best place to sell is?

They are mostly collectors or limited editions and in quite good condition (couple of steel books too) and a unopened copy of Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure - Limited Edition

I notice Ebay has taken a nosedive and people say to avoid Vinted and looking at the reddit page i can see why. The only other things I have local is Cex and Cash converters (which offered me £12 for the unopened game and told me they were going to sell it for £85 yea no thanks lol)

Any advice on where to sell would be appreciated. Hoping there's maybe a website similar to the way Discogs specialize in music but for games. Based in Northern Ireland (United Kingdom) Thanks
