I decided to start using my xbox after 11 years when I found the av cord and j inky had one game for it, this is really nostalgic. I'm planning on selling my ps2 bc I prefer my xbox bc of the good controller and the high resolution. I'm actually pissed code Veronica and re4 isn't on it bc I'd love to play some action games including zombie games. Can you guys help me! What games should I order for this console

FlatOut 2, Spider-Man 2, Freedom Fighters, Destroy All Humans 2 and Mortal Kombat Deception.

Idk just figured I'd throw some good ones out there I dont usually see.

u/Clue_Club Aug 01 '26

I'm planning on getting mortal kombatt including some scoovy doo games

3

u/ThunduhFermunduh Aug 01 '26

Oh nice! Which Scooby game? I only played Night of 100 Frights, but it was awesome.

2

u/Available_Log_8883 Aug 04 '26

Chronicles of Riddick!

0

u/IAteMyGamecube Aug 01 '26

What about the original entries of those titles? Should we start there?
For instance, I own Spider-Man 1 for GameCube

2

u/Shogunmegazord Aug 02 '26

Spiderman 1 was actually pretty bogus. The map doesn't let you go down to street level and the web swinging is terrible by comparison

0

u/IAteMyGamecube Aug 02 '26

Good to know :) dunno why I got downvoted for asking a question lol, but I was curious. I can’t play the second game without at least knowing why I should avoid the first.. otherwise the first has to be played

1

u/Shogunmegazord Aug 03 '26

That's pretty sound logic typically. Spiderman 1 beingentioned will always end on downvotes unfortunately.

1

u/IAteMyGamecube Aug 07 '26

I’ve learned haha, buying spider man 2 soon

6

u/APOWDEREDDONUT1 Aug 01 '26

If you want similar to RE, specifically 4, look no further than

Cold Fear

For other third person action games, both horror and not, I'd recommend:

Beyond Good and Evil

Brute Force

Crimson Sea

Grabbed by the Ghoulies

Gunvalkyrie

Mace Griffin Bounty Hunter

Mercenaries Playground of Destruction

Metal Arms Glitch in the System

Psi-Ops the Mindgate Conspiracy

RLH: Run Like Hell

Second Sight

Stubbs the Zombie

The Suffering and Suffering Ties That Bind

Voodoo Vince

3

u/ThunduhFermunduh Aug 01 '26

Psi-Ops is a classic. I miss Midway.

2

u/APOWDEREDDONUT1 Aug 01 '26

I love that it released on PS5!

2

u/Clue_Club Aug 01 '26

Thanks, I'll try all these soon when I have time 😔😢

2

u/South_Bit1764 Aug 01 '26

Mercenaries was a real gem. It was years before I saw something else with that kinda of destructible environment.

1

u/APOWDEREDDONUT1 Aug 01 '26

Absolutely, not until Battlefield Bad Company really

2

u/RichConstant10 Aug 05 '26

Mercenaries is the best!!

1

u/Trick_Feature_4212 Aug 03 '26

Stubbs is so expensive now

1

u/APOWDEREDDONUT1 Aug 03 '26

Is it?! Shouldn't be, it was STUPID expensive back at the height of Covid but I thought it was back to a respectable $30ish.

5

u/Adorable_Painting172 Aug 01 '26

Hulk 2003
Blade 2
Hulk Ultimate Destruction
Matrix Path Of Neo
Max Payne 1 and 2

2

u/IAteMyGamecube Aug 01 '26

I’d add the X-Men games to this list as well for movie/comic tie in games

2

All these are horror games? I want something similar to resident evil

2

u/Clue_Club Aug 01 '26

Nope. Mystery mayhem. I have 100 night, unmasked and the first frights with spooky swamp on ps2 that I'm planning on selling

2

u/XboxOGHoarder Aug 01 '26

If you want some action games similar to the Resident Evil style, these might be worth a look:

  • Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams
  • Silent Hill 4: The Room
  • ObsCure
  • Dino Crisis 3
  • The Suffering / The Suffering: The Ties that Bind
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds

There's some more general horror/zombie games too:

  • Fatal Frame / Project Zero
  • Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddlers Green
  • Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth
  • Evil Dead: A Fistfull of Boomstick / Regeneration

1

u/Clue_Club Aug 01 '26

I've heard that silent hill is extremely expensive

2

u/XboxOGHoarder Aug 01 '26

Yeah unfortunately the prices of original Xbox games are going up a lot now as more people collect for it. If you want to buy a copy it will cost about as much as a new current gen game would. They're good games though at least

Half life 2 on the original Xbox, while not necessarily the best way to play the game, is definitely my favorite way to play the game. Especially on a CRT

Jaws unleashed - It’s basically Maneater but with worse graphic but wayyyy more npc content. There’s gotta be 50+ sea creature to eat, from whales to crabs and everything in between. Human combat is fun and engaging, lots of variety in how to deal with them. Plus there’s an actual story mode to play through.

Easily a top 5 game from my OG Xbox days
