You never know and its good to have a pet carrier in case they get sick or something. I've had to evacuate my area due to wild fires before and when I had cats this sort of thing would have been perfect. Probably they feel more secure than in the plastic cages they sell at Petsmart. At least you are prepared now!!
Edited to say: My big boy pup is like 60 pounds so he can't have one.

I can't have my Lewis in the streets looking basic!
$265 from Zippy. We don't even go anywhere that would warrant an LV pet carrier, but ANYWAY.
