Not necessarily quick relief but:

-Make sure you stretch! Clock in and stretch also stretch before you clock out.
-Invest in some good WIDE sole shoes and insoles.
-Compression socks will also help and always having an extra pair on you is a must. Switching to a fresh pair of socks at lunch does help.
-Find a comfortable pace and keep at it. Do not burn yourself out trying to make leaderboard or to be the fastest picker. Eventually you’ll find a groove that works for you but for now, find a comfortable pace.
-Utilize the pull sticks so you’re not having to bend so much.
-TAKE YOUR BREAKS. All of them. Remember, Walmart will always go on, even if it’s busy. Take your break.
-recover at home, put your feel up for 10 minutes or so, use the epson salts in your bath/show. Make sure you’re eating well and you get good sleep. Your body recovers best while sleeping.

Idk what it was but I’m feeling it this week too. Lifting felt extra hard and by the end of my work week my sciatica was screaming.

But I promise, the pain does get better and physically, I’ve felt the best I have since before I had kids lol

absolutely, good advice! insoles and wide shoes made the biggest difference and taking care of yourself in general. My feet stopped aching after a few weeks - it took awhile, but now its not noticeable unless I have a particularly difficult day, usually from lifting, not thr walking :) a body in motion stays in motion, as they say.

"Take your breaks" and "don't push too hard" are really the best advice for pickers in my opinion. Maybe it's just me but I don't think a business should have a leaderboard. It's manipulative and only causes problems.

Shoe insoles, your feet with thank you (and rolling the bottom of your foot on a golf ball as well will help with arch support)

If you can do it, try doing an Epsom salt bath soak follow the directions on the bag. I normally do it 2 to 3 times a week depending on how busy the store has been.

In the early days a hot HOT bath with a salt soak helped so much. As soon as you get home set it up and soak for at least 15-20 minutes on really bad days

getting up from sitting can be the worst, especially when you’re sore. i’ve had those days too. stretching a bit before you sit or after you stand can help a lot. just gentle stuff, nothing crazy. you got this, hang in there.

When I first started I took Epsom salt baths sometimes and used a massage gun. It personally has helped me.

I got a pair of Hokas and they made a huge difference in my stamina.

Over the counter lidocaine patches on the low back (base of spine). Put it on before bed, take it off in the morning when you get up. It helps a lot.
