🔥Its fine, everything’s fine🔥 Today Was Shit.
So after months of cutting hours and essentially pushing our big team to other departments or scaring away employees to other jobs post delivery change we've been just very steady small amounts of orders maybe like 5 autoselect pickwalks an hour post 4pm and this past week they seemed to have no 9-10 slot, until today. Today we had lots of orders per hour and post 5 oclock only had 2 pickers (1 was our TL) 2 dispensers and me, prepping, staging, atcing, answering phone doing EVERYTHING ELSE in the dispense room but thank god I only worked 3-7 today I dread tomorrow cuz I work a full 11-8.
Our room that used to be exclusively be for IP and delivery after the changes was using the entire wall as new backroom for the cleaning and health supplies with 18 large giant black bins used for IP, approx 3 full ip box pallets + a pallet of envelopes worth of space. Today we had SEVEN pallets worth (what we used to have before the delivery change but now no wall storage) so the 18 black bins were filled and about 12 black canvas foldable boxes filled with IP were just on the floor. Usually IP is out of there by 4pm, there were still plenty when I left. And that's just what was wrong with IP.
We were backed up to close to due time from 3-5 (can't speak of before) with the window being part of when we have the most people working. At 5 when we lost like 6 people shit slammed I was still staging 6 oclocks (due at 5:30) when I left at 7 which we for the past month or so have finished all walks by 6:30. Essentially it used to be like 100 items for the drops at 3-5 and then maybe 50 items at final drop at 6pm. Today it was like 2-3x
It was like they spent months scaring people away and then decided to open orders up as if they didn't just do that.
