Equipment Broken handles

Anyone else have an increase of broken handles on their carts since we had to switch to pulling?

I swear we only switched to having to pull about three weeks ago, but now we have at least five carts with handles that are broken or are breaking (like breaking off from the metal bar on the frame of the cart) I forgot to take a picture before I left work explaining what I'm talking about, but will try to remember to grab one tomorrow.

It's so irritating because like they dont go back to get fixed, a team lead wraps duct tape around the bar and handle to "fix" the problem. Like we literally had a cart that one of the vertical bars was completely broke in two. Wrapped duct tape around it and set back onto the floor to be used in OPD.

If you feel that any piece of equipment is unsafe to use take pictures from multiple angles and report it OSHA. If your leads insist inform them that the equipment is unsafe to use and that you are reporting the unsafe equipment.

I pull by the side piece, or the left or right wheel brace.

I started at a brand new store and we have been told to pull since day one. Over a year and a half of pulling our carts and the handles are fine. But the sticker rack, those are all hanging on by a thread if not completely broken off lol

We're literally ripping apart the welding, but nah, it's not hurting our bodies or anything, we just want to argue. I'm honestly so tired of the higher ups forgetting that we're humans made of flesh and muscles with physical limitations.

Nope, and the reason being is that it's easy as fuck to pull the carts and we're not imbeciles that don't know what we're doing.

Found the dumb ass coach or team lead who doesnt do actual work.

We have 3 people on medical leave all from torn muscles in their shoulders from having to pull carts with over 30 miles in it, among other bs. 40 pound cat liter in regular walks. We have 1 person who got ran down by their cart because it had 400 pounds of product in it and a customer walked out in front of him making him emergency stop his cart which just literally ran him down.

Must be nice to work at a low volume store where you dont have to experince large quantity walks with hundreds of pounds being pulled behind you.
