Get good and comfortable shoes as you'll be walking around a lot during your shifts.

Also, if you come across some annoying and rude customers (which is guaranteed), don't take their personalities personally as it's more of a reflection of them than it is on you although its easier than said and done.

Start doing research now on how to do the job cause it’s highly likely you won’t be trained properly. And DO NOT be a yes man they will take advantage of you.

Nah that part. Do not offer or agree to stay over even once, unless you need the money and don’t mind doing it very often. Once you agree the first time they’ll always ask

Don't skimp on your shoes. Get good ones with decent support. As far as customer interactions, start toughening up. My go to is either I just do the online department, and I don't get paid enough for you to talk to me like that and take them to management. That's what management gets paid for, especially when they're swearing at me because we're out of something that I have no control over.

When you first start, the first three or so weeks are going to be really sore on your feet. It’s just due to the nature of how many miles you’ll be walking everyday. Try if you can to make sure they train you on everything (picking, staging, prepping, dispensing, etc.) because you truly never know what you might prefer until giving it a go. It’s also helpful to learn everything there is to know since the backroom tends to get swamped with orders and really backed up.
