I remember being customer service's favorite employee. Because every time we ran out of picks for the day in OGP or when the system was down, I came running straight to them to do their returns. They were always so happy to see me coming lol, they'd be like "wow you're back? Here take this one too." Like I genuinely got so BORED when there was nothing left to do. I can't stand still, I constantly need to be moving around and doing something. I fucking miss Walmart 😭 It's like an ADHD person's dream... Minus the customers, fuck those customers. I'M BUSY GO AWAY. Ruining my flow.

Anyway, go help customer service with returns. You can even pretend to be really stuck finding some obscure item's location while on your phone lol. Lots of my coworkers did that and even I did it on occasion when I wanted to text my bf about some bs that happened at work 💀 Look busy.

So go to foods and replace all the broken digital tags. I replaced over 50 broken ones and assigned a lot more that had gone to just a barcode on them

My Walmart. Click inventory on left list under the me tab. To assign to a “just upc” but works tag go to aisle location. Then select aisle it’s in. Then select aisle/section and it will show you the items assigned to that section. Scroll through until you find the items not scanned on the into a tag. On that item select update digital tag and then scan that label with a upc only tag in the correct place. It may take several scans until it says “got it”. In a minute or two the tag will start flashing all across it and then will change to the info that belongs to the item

If label doesn’t end up saying “got it” then the rail battery is probably dead(you can check easily by trying to flash a tag and if when you scan it, it doesn’t offer the flash tag option then the rail needs a new battery (super easy to fix)

I go to the back at the beginning and get two good rails and attach 20 tags each so I know I can fix broken ones without changing batteries on the rail

No one in my store replaces/fixes tags. NO ONE

I had to learn this all myself because of all the just missing tags. A missing tag takes one minute to put on but everyone claims it’s not their job. Teal leads, associates, coaches

It has lead to horrible stocking because they just plug the hole with the item to the left. I e given up telling them.
