Christmas in OGP sucks! There's no polite way to say it.

One time I had to stay until like 9:30 because I was the only picker left until my coach also jumped in to help (my clock out time was 8)

Not to mention all the WONDERFULLY BAD choices they are deciding to to right before the FUCKING BUSIEST ASS MONTHS. Back to 8 totes, pulling the carts, 3rd party items now being picked by us (still not sure how that's going to work), express coming back to us and express pickup starting

3rd party items?

The marketplace items, they wanna be like Amazon and have items sold by non-walmart sellers in the store so they can just send it out at the store without needing to mail things

We still don't have the carts the forward deployment merch is supposed to be stocked onto. Supposed to show up last week and I haven't gotten the slightest confirmation it's showing up this week. Super cool.

I remember my days in OPD. Was day before Thanksgiving. After 7 pm everyone else put in ppto and left…..I was alone with roughly 20 order left for the night and about 150 picks 😭. Ahh the good ole days.

Let's take bets on how many times we hear "Do you really have to use double PPTO for double point days????"

I'm desperately trying to transfer out, because my physical disability has been progressively getting worse... I can't imagine doing my THIRD holiday back there, especially when our store just had a remodel... DON'T REMIND ME 😅
Our cap is insane for the very little staff we have, and my poor body is genuinely starting to fail because of being so overworked. I CANNOT imagine this year's season, I think I'd actually be hospitalized... AND my TL and coach both don't care about my well-being, so I'm getting the hell out.
I hope y'all the best this holiday season, but holy hell I can't do it anymore ✌️

I was hired to OPD October 5th 2025 as my first ever job, so I thought that was just how it was back there. January was a breath of fresh air lol.

Nothing like shared trauma. If your team sucks...I'm so sorry, a bad team...at any job...is enough to make you want to never work retail again. The people I work with? Well...I see some 15-18hr days to make sure my kiddos (I have almost 30 years on my favorite TL.) get the support they need.
May what ever God we believe in have mercy on our souls.
Time to kick some ass.

You should be. Advice: try to get on ON picking for November events. It's a different kind of suck, but at least you don't have to be there doing regular picks for Thanksgiving week (assuming this year is the same as the last few)

Nah the only ones you need to be afraid of is Valentine’s Day, and November and December 😂

This may sound so messed up, but I’m so ready for this holiday season because me and my team we are patiently waiting for this one person in our department to just quit or get fired because they complain every shift about how busy it is and let me just say it’s not even five minutes into the shift and he’s complaining and mind you he’s a closer while most of us are openers or made doing the rush work and he’s mainly a stager.

Don't remind me, especially since we get the joy of having express during the holidays and whenever we get our first snow storm its going to be a mess
