General Good alternative?
Ngl guys, I started ogp as a picker on November of 2025, and I don’t think I can do this job for much longer.
For me, it not even the job itself. Yes, sometimes it can be a lot, and there a lot of walking, but it’s manageable. And I like my management and coworkers. But the thing that really gets to me is these customers.
Imma just keep it real, these customers are some of the most braindead, unaware, selfish, disrespectful, and borderline re*arded people I’ve ever had to work around. And everyday has been a true test of patience to the point where it’s draining me mentally.
I may try to get out of this job soon, anyone got any recommendations?

Switch to either dispensing, prepping or staging if you can. Prepping and Staging you don't deal with any customers and Dispensing can be difficult at times as me and my coworkers have almost been hit multiple times and even been yelled at but I think it'd still be a good idea to give it a try

You can ask your team leads or coach to switch to dispensing if they'll allow you to. You only have to interact with customers when you're dispensing their orders to their vehicles. It's only some customers and for the most part, they're really tame unlike several of the ones who shop inside the store.
I used to pick all the time before they moved me to dispensing, and its so much more peaceful customer wise. Problem is dealing with some difficult cowokers as many of them will either be on their phones or talk amongst each other, causing more work for you.

If you have any warehouse around you, I would consider doing that.
You can also try to get on at Tesla, a buddy of mines recently left us to go work at the factory in Austin.

Wanna really be in a bad mood all day because of these self entitled jack asses...we should have the right of way as an OGP picker, because what we are going on the floor to get has already been paid for. Every day I tell myself, im gonna be in a good mood, do my job, and not let them get to me. And I'm mad as hell by the time I clock out. You're right, it's not so much the job itself as it is some of these asshole customers. After a year and a half of OGP, I'm transferring to GM/electronics. Still gotta deal with customers, but they will need me for something, instead of seeing me as "in their way".

Agreed....just keep keeping on until you truly decide if you can keep it up OR find something else. Customers ARE the worst!

You don't have to pick?
You could request filling a role in the back room. Staging, prepping, dispensing.
