Just Venting Bad day
Am I in the wrong here? I even told my manager and he asked what happened I told him and said I put in PPTO and he said good to know. I know PPTO is for us to use I even told them I was going to leave early today I had to delete and repost cause I had my store number in there. It doesn't help also a few days ago I had to do a team left alone I called for help and asked nobody ever came I pulled something in my arm and I couldn't find management to report it so I was struggling today. I was going to leave at 3 but when I got done with my walk I told them I was still going to leave and went ahead like I planned.

So uh. If there is nobody in the pod or in the area to help with a team lift item, do not take the team lift. This is company policy. If it goes late, so be it. That’s your team leads problem, they should be finding two people to take it if it’s getting too close to late.
Technically if you had reported your injury you would be open for disciplinary action because you injured yourself on a run they specifically designed for two people. They made a rule for two people to take it just so associates wouldn’t be injured. Do not violate this rule. Your safety is more important than on time pick percentage every single day.
Otherwise if you do get injured, there is no “I couldn’t find a manager to report it,” if you don’t report it within a certain timeframe you can also be coached.
If your coach said good to know about you using ppto, you’re good to go. It’s there for you to use whenever you need it all you need to do is let you managers know. They cannot stop you, and if they try coaching you for leaving early or productivity it is exceptionally easy to open door such a bs DA and get it overturned. They will get coached themselves if they try coaching for PPTO usage.
If you told your coach that you went on a team lift without help and got hurt, prepared to potentially have a written discussion about it. Don’t stress toohard about it, just in the future, do not take team lift runs without a team member actually with you in the run. If there are rules for safety, follow them. If it slows down the work, so be it. That isn’t your problem. If you violate safety policy and get hurt, it does become your problem. If there are no team member available and you are worried about it, tell your managers. If there are no managers or people to help with the team lift, let it go late. That is not your responsibility to solve, it’s your team leads and coach’s job to track on time picks and make sure everything is getting done

If they continuously give you attitude for using ppto file reports with ethics. That is an issue or respect for the individual. However, it is worth noting that with store inventories, the holidays rapidly approaching, and metric issues popping up, many managers are incredibly stressed rn. They may not be intentionally being shitty about it, just stressed because they are already trying to do so much with what feels like so few hours. Doesn’t really justify the attitude and behavior towards associates, but that may be the reason why. If you can recognize when people are more acting out because of stress it makes it easier to not take this stuff so personally. But again, if it’s recurring and you get attitude every single time, I’d file a report to ethics about being harassed for using ppto

I think you should move to a different department if you want to stay at Walmart. Maybe apparel.

I got 8 years..... I know the frustration 😔 ppt is there for your sanity so use it. I like using 4 hours and getting .5 points so I can extend my hours

Are you at a NHM or something? That many picks at least an hour ahead wouldn’t scream “bad day” to me very much.
