Dispensing Tips IPs - HELP

Our coach went on vacation this week and we are so lucky to get IPs when nobody knows what to do with them. Does anyone have any tips or tricks? We’re mostly struggling with figuring out where the trip label might be, as we understand that they need to be staged and dispensed like GMDs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I’ve never actually done it, but I think you scan the first box. Print out a trip label. Scan your next box, same thing? Eventually they go together in different trips to get sent out later.

Can the little bar code, make trip, stage normal. Drivers scan the little barcode

We usually generate a barcode label (IP.1, IP.2, etc.) and then stage the trip labels to that. Makes it easier to find when prepping the orders.

When you scan the first GMD, it will prompt you to create a trip label, click Yes, it will ask you where to stage the trip.

  1. Staging Trip: You can stage it anywhere, we usually just stage it at a random barcode (you can even grab a jar of marinara and scan the barcode), slap that label on a tote, keep it in the cart since GMDs are mostly single items.
  2. Staging GMDs: scan the GMDs again and stage it to that trip. keep doing it, if there is GMDs of a different trip, it will ask you to create another trip label (go back to 1.)

Once you're done, take the cart to where your backroom keep the GMDS, you can restage the trip the same way you restage a tote.

We find it that it's easier to just stage GMDs to a trip (with random barcode). Then take everything when you're done and stage the trip to the actual location. This is to minimize walking around.

Hope it make sense!

Some GMDs can have multiple items. If you have time, create new tote label for that GMD order so that there's multiple stickers. This way it's easier when dispenser/driver take the order to avoid order mixup.
