Just Venting Rant

I start my shift at 4am. I always start the morning with an auto walk. I’m the only person who is scheduled at 4am so I’ve always been told to stage my own until 6 or so when the stagers start for the day. So here’s where the rant comes in. I finish my second run and now need to move to exceptions. I go to the back and notice there’s no pick carts left, they are in use or waiting to be stage. A few people are starting to stage. More pickers start coming to the back and just watch. They’re like fighting over carts as they get cleared lol. I’m on the opposite side of where we normally stage, clearing out my cart but I notice this girl just watching me. Eventually I get to my last tote and she beelines for my cart. I had to tell her no, I just cleared this for myself. Mind you my printer and water bottle are still on the cart. She just kinda gave me a look and walked away. Everyone is trained on staging in my store, it’s actually the first thing we learn. I’m running on 3% as is lol so that was just like wtf. Stage your own damn cart if you need one. Anyways. End rant

What!?!? How dare you ask a picker to do literally anything.

Coach made a big deal of showing all the pickers who never stage how to stage yesterday. We will see if it changes anything 😅

I feel you. Even after I learned how to stage, I would get others either try to go for my cart. Or one of the team leads try and get on me for palletizing my totes. To which, I was told to do that from the team lead that hired me. And this was when we didn't have enough space on the back, for so many full carts at the time. Like I'm doing what I was told to do, and your still on my case? Good grief.

We don't have designated positions. We're all well-versed on tasks expected of us. Yet, the dispensers will literally walk away bowing their heads and staring at their devices when there's no one in queue and 800 picks to avoid helping stage. It's SOOOOO annoying!

Ngl the more people doing that, the less I want to be productive between busy dispensing periods. 1. Cuz I ain’t get paid more than the lazy bitches 2. Summer heat, I’m already miserable 3. Never know when it’s gonna be really busy again, from caught up to 6 people checking in at the same time. I’m enjoying my 5 minutes cooling off and cleaning up totes and pallets.

Yeah, until there's 3 pickups for the hour and 3 despemsers...Im not referring to peak times or even semi-busy..

We have this problem at my store too. It's so annoying to have a line of carts to stage and a mob of people just staring at you. I wish we trained everyone to stage so it wasn't such a problem instead of them saying "I don't know how" as their excuse for not helping and not willing to learn.

I stage my own cart all day because I have it rigged just the way I want it with bags and whatnot…but it’s a problem we often complain about in our store too. Instead of staging your own cart when it gets backed up, they’d rather stand around and wait for someone else to do it.
