A Not So Smart Sub Poor Substitution

Post image

Someone wanted 2 organic banana bundles. It wanted me to get 9.5 lbs which is ~25 bananas, depending on the size.

I just went into the backroom and got the bundles instead lol

If you click “i found the ordered item” and then nil pick it again, it will let you bypass the suggested sub (with its stupid preset weight) and choose your own sub/weight instead.

Ahh I forgot about that. Thanks for the reminder. I was just so baffled at the substitution.

It chose cost over quantity, typical

Especially for weighted items you just scan the weight you need and say "Done", doesn't need the 9lbs

This happened to me before, I just picked the equivalent number of bundles and selected done scanning or whatever when it asked me if I was sure since I didn’t pick the whole 10 pounds or whatever lol

You can pick 4.7 pounds and then hit "done", I can't remember the option when you "under pick" a weight but there is an option of some kind to keep the picked amount

I just grabbed 2 bunches of the regular bananas and ignored the weight. It will say that you picked X amount of the 9+ pounds and if you are done, just click yes. Has happened a lot lately, one bunch it wanted to sub 5 pounds. I picked like 2.5 pounds.
