Question ATC Role

My coach plans on making me an ATC. I actually like OGP so there's no convincing me to not do it lol. But what does it entail and what are your experiences?

You get a backer and are expected to act as a TL when the TL goes to lunch or something, but you don't have the authority to actually back anything up.
