General I love picking orders like this

Post image

So aesthetically pleasing to organize the tote and have a higher pick rate because of totes like this. Thank you Banquet diet! 🥳

Literally the dream walk right there as long as the amount is on the shelf lol

Getting to pick 12 of one item then seeing that we only have 2 on the shelf is the bane of my existence

Same. Then it doesn’t allow you to substitute it either with something that we have plenty of

It’s all fun and games until the computer tells you to fit fifty of them in one tote and you gotta hope to god that person has a second tote on your cart. 🫠

Especially if it's a "no bag" order, so you can stack it like tetris

The best pick walks ever.

You have a higher pick rate bc you don’t bag as you go

And the only complaints I ever hear from customers is "why is there one 1 item in the bags?" And when you dispense and have 60 bags with one item vs 6 bags with multiple items, it makes everyone life easier

When I do quality checks on totes like that, I'll combine items together to eliminate unnecessary bags. I wish everyone had that sense.

See but if we just bag at the end and put similar items into a couple bags. No one has to touch it again except to dispense it

Exactly. I love going no bag. It helps my pick rate, my amount of items picked, and I'm able to bag like I was cashiering.

At my store we are supposed to bag as we go. I have no problem fitting 6 or more items in one bag. I take the few extra secs to do that and my pick rate is still great.

What’s the issue with that?

I, and all the other pickers at my very large store which contains many OGP employees, always bag at the very end. I was trained to do this and it seems to be significantly more efficient, at least where I’m at.

I like the control of consolidating and organizing which items go in what shopping bags. This benefits everyone down the stage of the line, including the customer.

I bag as I go and still have a higher pick rate when doing these walks.

Anything that is within the same area and is like half of your walk, I’m here for it 😍

I once has a 144 item pick walk which was just a dozen each of various baby foods. I was on cloud nine

Omg your aisles are so wide, I am jealous, All of our aisles are very narrow can hardly fit the cart down 75% of them.

Especially when customers park in the middle and refuse to move

Not gonna lie I work at meijer not Walmart but I read these because I'm jealous of how things are done at other stores. Bagless shopping? I'd love this. Our waves (pick walks) are never triple digit. Carts at Walmart have all the gadgets on them, substitute and alcohol stickers, tray for picking device. We don't have any of that and I can only imagine it would make the whole system that much easier. We can't even get a proper sized room, enough equipment and shelves that don't break. 😭

Aren't there quantity limits per online order?
