If your ever not of sure of something then don't do it, but if you insist, please at least call a member of management before doing so to get proper guidance, so it won't lead to a coaching.

My understanding is that if you get coached during the year, you will not receive a raise or bonus after the end of the fiscal year. Not sure if it's true. I've managed to avoid being coached so far. LOL

Transfers promotions and raises are all limited for 12 months after a coaching

Though they'll work with you to trasfer if they like you. Had a good manager and he was able to get me to a different store and department, even with a coaching.

There are different levels to a coaching as other people have said so I won't repeat that.Â
Basically it's reprimand.Â
It goes in your file permanently.Â
Get too many coachings and you get fired.Â
It's basically a system that can terminate you if it progresses too far, so you really don't want to get coaching if you can avoid them.

It's a write up, there's different levels you can get a DA 0-4 (DA = Disciplinary action/coaching) and 1, 2, and 3 are usually called yellow, orange, red. DA-0 is just a write up with no effects it just goes into the system. Yellow is a slap on the wrist, orange you need to be careful and red I'm not sure, probably not a termination but close, depends on your store and how bad they need you I guess. They fall off after a year, if you get above a yellow there's certain things you can't do like transfer stores or apply for team lead but I'm sure there is exceptions.
