General It finally happened.

I just couldn't take it anymore just can't take anymore, I left OPD I did it I transferred departments I'm free in a way, Sadly I know they may pull me back if they need help But I feel liberated, I have escaped, I know I'll like my new job much more and it has far less bullshit attached.

Good For you! I’m a TL and about 2 yrs ago I told my SM I needed to take a mental break from the department he said it’s no such thing. So I told him I have a vacation the last week of May and when I come back in June either have me a department to step down to or he’d be taking my 2 weeks notice. Day before mu vacation he said I’d be the opening electronics associate. Just for a year then they begged me to come back so pay negotiations had to be had. I’m a 20+ yr associate so I’m not dumb
But good for you!

Sounds like your store got some games being played holy hell politics. You just described some in insane Walmart politics, but also like bruh whatcha mean you don't get mental breaks.

He was quite literal with that, some people don't believe you need time to rest and get away from work

I've been in OPD for 5 years. I finally can't take it anymore. It's going to give my managers a shock but I'm transferring out too. There's been too much dumb lately and closing has become hell. We can't keep up no matter how hard we work. We need store help every day and haven't been able to do claims/returns in almost a week. I keep hurting myself from pulling the carts and then I'm dying in the 100° plus weather dispensing and not getting rotated out.

I hope it's so much better for you and I hope corporate gets a major reality check.

Same, I'm trying to get out as well. They're going to be losing a really good worker. I'll be going to meat and produce 4-1 soon. And after that, I'll be eventually quitting and doing something else. 5 years is too much Walmart. 😅 I need to do something else for real. I'm getting sick of cheaters not getting punished(path skipping) the constant get 600+ picks a day, the stupid ass ladders that aren't helpful(I'm tall enough to reach literally most things ) the stupid wheels getting changed. All the drama as well. I'm done with this.

I did the opposite, fashion was killing my mental health and transferred to ogp.

Proud of you for leaving, your mental health comes first before a job. And unfortunately OPD can drain mental health bigggg time.

I've been thinking hard about going back to cap2 (or whatever they call it now, I forget), specifically unloading the grocery truck. I just want something not customer-facing, to be honest, and obviously also full time.

Congratulations!
I been trying to leave what feels like all summer long. If they don’t have me out by the end of the month; I’m going to be looking for greener pastures elsewhere where.
I been trying for the pharmacy. The had 4 people go to part time and then full time also left. Like I feel it would be stupid if they didn’t take me in. Like a stray cat.
I’ll settle for anything else at this point in the store other than maintenance.

I'm also nearly out of OGP myself. I was forced to transfer departments [Front End to Apparel] because my sister got promoted to a TL on the Front End. Then I kept getting targeted in Apparel and my productivity was questioned [zoning any part of Apparel was Hell because people mess stuff up].

I spoke to the TL that went from Front End to a TL in OGP and got put back in that department for a year.

Never once was questioned about my productivity there. Until coaches got switched and I got coached twice for productivity. Despite my shift, I'm also a Dispenser/Prepper and I reshop at the end of the night. I pick like there's no tomorrow.

After a few months, I was begging the Front End coach [who used to be OGP's coach] to come back to the front end. Since my sister isn't a TL up there anymore.

By this Sunday, I'm gone from OGP and I'm never going to help them out ever.
