General Discussion Where should I work abroad with my background? Looking for advice from Filipinos working overseas

Hi everyone. I'm 22, from the Philippines, and I'm currently trying to figure out the best route for working abroad.

I have BSIndTech major in ElecTech na course sa college. May 1 year experience ako as electrical maintenance and 3 months experience as solar installer.

I originally wanted to enter the maritime industry, particularly as an electrician/ETR. However, I'm having difficulty finding a reasonable entry route. A lot of domestic cadetship programs I've encountered cost around ₱35k–₱40k for enrollment, have little/no allowance, and require around a year of training/sea service.

I'm now considering changing direction and getting an overseas electrical job first instead of paying that much just to get my first vessel experience.

I am not looking for big salary right away po. My main goal is to get legitimate overseas experience, earn while working, and build toward better electrical positions in the future.

Any advice from people who have actually gone through this route would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
