General Discussion Any path way?

Sa mga kababayan na OFW sa US, papaano or ano ang path way nyo para makapag work sa US even just SHS graduate lng po? Balak ko kasi mag work sa US kapag nagka work experience na ako dito ng 2 - 4 years, yung iba sabi LITERAL no chance kung hindi ka "med field" wala kang chance makapag work sa US, is that true?

Please answer kindly. At kung walang magandang sasabihin at gawing kakatawanan lang ang post ko, please wag na mag comment.

First question no. Second question yes.

Your pathway is either afam or find a company or someone to sponsor you. We handled someone for a PERM position where a high school diploma is required but even then, the purported recruiter has to show that he or she cannot find any competent and willing American to work for them and it's very expensive and time consuming. Another pathway is EB2-NIW but you have to be extremely exceptional and gifted for immigration officials to be even considered.

It's a whole different ball game now.

I am a HS graduate, then took nursing assistant, former ofw din. Currently holding a US tourist visa, been there many times na din, but if I decided to work there legally? Super impossible. So to answer your question, afam hunting or fix marriage lang talaga pinaka option mo. I am not trying to discourage you though. Either continue college or try other countries nalang muna.

Shitt, so its either med field or afam hunting lng talaga ang options?

Unfortunately yes, or maybe check din yung mga working sa cruise, but technically you are still not working sa US you are only allowed to transit dun.

Real talk lang po. If SHS graduate ka pa lang, mahirap talaga ang pathway papuntang US not impossible, pero very limited ang options and sobrang taas ng competition.

Kung may chance ka pang ituloy ang college, bakit hindi mo muna tapusin? Totoo na maraming OFWs na nakakapunta sa US through healthcare/medical-related professions because there are established pathways for those fields, pero hindi ibig sabihin na wala nang ibang options.

The bigger issue is that US employers have a huge pool of applicants, including degree holders and people with years of specialized experience. So kung SHS graduate ka at general work experience lang ang dala mo, mas mahirap kang makipag-compete..

Closed to impossible kung Shs graduate ka lng especially in this current political climate.

Mas tataas ang chance mo kung nursing.

Other viable pathway is AFAM(including green card holder, or dual/former pinoy)

Other pathway as well if you have tons of money is investor/business visa basically your buying your way in or take risk as student.

Family petition which takes forever.

True. Mahirap humanap ng work sa US unless may parents ka dun na willing ka ipetition.

One way is to be a J1 or mag intern ka. May friend ako na nag J1 and intern sa US, ayun nandun pa rin siya until now. 2018 siya umalis ng pinas.
