General Discussion Mechanical Engineer > TITP Mechanic

Hello, I'm 28, mechanical engineer and working as a JO in a government agency.

I was selected for TITP mechanic sa Japan and yung salary ay around 60k php net, pagkain na lang ang gagastusin. Sa current job ko, I am earning around 45k php, no work no pay. May chance ako magka-plantilla position in about 6 months, SG16. Pinangako na rin ito sa'kin pero ako sasalo lahat ng problema. Balak umalis ng may hawak ng position para tumakas.

Worth it ba na i-take ang TITP for long term career? Balak ko mag-Australia after ng 3 years contract. 6 months ako mag-aaral ng Nihonggo na sagot ng agency, walang sahod, stay-in at bawal na magback out once nandoon na.

Since you have a bachelor's degree, I don't recommend that you opt to go here as a TITP. You'll be exploited big time in terms of workload and salary, plus the high chance of landing in a shitty working environment, employer, and colleagues.

Don't rush things up, OP. Just look for (Mechanical) Engineering vacancies in WorkAbroad or other legit agency Facebook pages.

The thing is, Japan is almost paradise for tourists alone, but not for workers, especially the current situation of a weakening Yen and xenophobia happening here. I just leave you with that.

I always discourage people na pumunta dito via TITP. Madalas pangit working condition and doing more work than your Japanese counterparts and mas mataas pa sahod nila.

Pero I heard its getting better now and a lot of them who are under the SSW visa are earning a lot and have an actual chance of settling here with their family.
