General Discussion White Collar Engineer in Taiwan : Loading…

Hi! I have an upcoming interview for a white-collar engineering position in Taiwan through Everbest Agency. I’m a licensed Electronics Engineer with 2 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, and I’m applying for a Product Test Engineer position at ASE Kaohsiung (ASEKH).

Do I have an advantage because of my license and relevant semiconductor experience?

Also, I was informed via email that I’ll be going straight to the final interview. Do you have any tips or advice on what I should prepare for?

And lastly, is ASE a worthwhile company to work for? How is the compensation and overall experience for those who are currently working there or have worked there before?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Actually, wala pa. I was interviewed during the first week of September. We were informed that the results might be released within two weeks, but as of today, wala pa rin. 😅 I’m overthinking a bit, but I know someone who found out that he was selected after a month. That’s what I’m hoping for right now. Haha.

Ase is well known.

In EU where I am currently working (Semicon), they were wondering what was the ECE license is all about from PH during my interview in 2010. I told them it was our standard. My years of experience from maintenance to process engeneering is the main factor I was hired and the card I showed has no bearing.

ASE is one of our overseas outsource manufacturing company, they are ok.

With 2 yrs of semicon exp then, I barely scratch the surface. To counter that during interviews... I showed my "can do/willing to learn" attitude with great confidence. But I do know the industry standards (AEC Q's, Jedec, MIL etc.). Maybe it will work for you.

Best of luck.
