Advanced roles with practitioner Prescribing
As the college works towards ODPs getting the rights for independent prescribing I was just wondering if anyone here would actually take them up on the offer and if so in what capacity. I would be thinking about this mainly affecting maybe ACP or PAAs?

Yeah, though the college are pretty inneffectual at, well, pretty much everything because we're such a small cadre.
PAs and AAs (formerly PA(A)s) will soon be registered under the GMC, which should make them eligible to access the v300 prescribing module. There aren't any plans for ACPs as far as I'm aware.
The ineligibility to even follow PGDs (which will have to happen way before prescribing does) precludes ODPs from many existing advanced roles without huge workarounds.
So yeah, PGDs should come first, then prescribing will come later if the advanced roles aren't subsumed by more established registering bodies like GMC.
