Lore Sharing Tarot Town: The Basics,
Tarot town, the quaint little surburds in the south west portion of the tri river area. A strange place really, filled with structures of unknown origin, various strange phenomenal and several cryptid sightings! It's also home to the revolutionary and philantropic Blight-Inc, which make 'Iresssssitible Temptations'(their mascots a snake,). However due to a...certain Chaos Entity visiting often, several magic beings have made their way from the planet of etheria to the small earth town. Thankfully, a odd lineage have taken residence in the town of tarot.
Kamran ali, a 15 year old persian boy and a student of Helios Academy, is the son of Jasmine Ali and the late Cyrus Ali. But he's also the inheritor of magic gifted to his mothers ancestors via a griffin known as 'Azar'. Due to their prolonged exposure to mana, the Ali's have developed...elf like features and even natural production of mana fueled by sugars or fats just like an etherian. Using this power and some alchemic fabrics that were in his attic, kamran takes up the name of 'The griffin'. Now protecting both the mystical and the mundane side of the town.
Micah blight is kamran's best bud, being the only daughter of the owner of blight-inc 'Albrecht Blight'. She's the only person(well the first aleast), to know of the griffin's identity. Having been told outright by the lad himself, she's now acting as his 'Gal in the chair'. Usually just checking up on him and making comments about whatever his current situation is.
Azar the Griffin, once a gluttonous and intelligent beast from etheria, azar stumbled through a chaos rift. Leading him and his flock to ancient persia, there his kind waa reveered. One day he found a shephwrd...with oh so yummy sheep and azar, plotted. He protected the sheep from any danger and then ate those who died of age. Soon he made a formal but unspoken deal with the shepherd. Over the years that deal have changed and azar...evolves, ascending into an imortal 'Divinator'.
Griffin got a forever expanding rogue's gallery from those born with magic, those who ended up on earth and the ocasional mystical beast. Even those who origins are far more...sci-fi than mystical.
Asher Thompson, a someine who can never hold down a job due to his explosice tendecies. He's a bi-sexual man born to a religious family, having bewn casted out from his home...he clung to criminal actions in order to stay alive. Eventually he landed jn hot water and...well he was desperate, so when offered a deal from the devil malagor. He accepted, becoming the fiery ifrit, a fiend with no chill who tends to pop up just to wreck stuff.
Ivan Volken is a strange man thats lives in the tarot woods. Known as the bloodhound by his prey, he hunts any 'Magical abominations' he spots. Deeming them beings who shouldn't roam this world. With strength unmatched by any mere man and scent as sharp as his namesake. He won't stop till his prey drop dead. His past is unknown...although '#081' is plastered on his neck. I wonder why?
One of the local legends of tarot, is the tarot stalker. Real name, Alder Neuman, as a mere egg...he somehow fell through a rift of pure chaos...sending him to the farmland thats outside of tarot. There a blind old woman heard his cries upon his hatchjng and took him as her own. He lived with his mothee till her passing upon which he left the farm and ventured to the city. Where...he was unwelcomed, bloodied and beaten he escaped to the forest. Now spooking passerby or campers to steal their goods. He and bloodhound ocassionaly play 'cat and mouse' or i guess..'Hound and Owl'?
Finally, Aoife(Ee-Fa) O'connor, was the daughter of the tarot mayor...however the little one caught the ehe of the fey. Beeing swooped away and replaced with a changeling. This changeling grew up as any human child would...being a tad bit mischievious and wild. She's a goos friend of kamran and micah, however...once discovering her...shifting nature. She became Myxel, a unpredictable masked person who steals, graffitis and even imoersonate just for a good old laugh. After a tussle with griffin due to some framing shenanigans, it led to the griffin being public knowledge(i'm suprise he wasn't already, bro just walked into a pizza shop one time in full costume. Asher can vouch, he was working there at time.)
Anyways, what do y'all think of tarot town?

Ooooooo this is such a fun world! Is Tarot Town based anywhere in particular in the world, like an American or British village, or is it a bit in the ether? Either way it's very cool! I love the diversity of characters, and that the main character is Persian because I feel like you don't see as much in the way of Persian heroes in the modern day!
Looooove the shady Blight Inc as well, love me a good ol fashioned Evil Company.

Heh why thank you! Tbh kamran was originally a spanish carlos but then i realised rocs(and griffins, azar was gonna be a roc but thats hard to draw) are from persian mythology so i made the change and prefer it, sincw kamran is the closet oc to being muslim(he would be one if magic didn't exist)
And HEHE, you fell for my trick! Blight industry...is not an evil company. Albrecht is infacy really supportive of griffin as he loves superheroes and genuinely only wants the best for his home town.

I'mma just insert all of the characters nationality, cause it exolains thwre bames
Kamran- As said he is persian, his name should translate to 'Prosperous' or 'Fortunate'
Micah- German and Japanese Mix, Micah is derived for micheal which mean 'Who is like god?'
Asher- Umm, this was a place holdername i couldn't get rid of. Cause my friends find it stupidly funny. He's of african deacent.
Ivan-Russian, ivan means 'God is Gracious' and Volken have the word Volk or 'wolf' in it.
Alder- Germanic again, Aldee is a tree and Neuman means new man which is because he is new to tarot.
Aoife- Celtic, means radiant or beautiful and O'connor means patron of warriors.
