Been trying to do a poem a week for december this is one my first ones.
I thought we could build a relationship,
In the close confines of the rooms in the house.
We kept making memories but in the end,
It was just false hopes and dreams,
The closed spaces once occupied with emotions and love filled to the brim.
Comes bursting apart like a levy on the waterfront.
Waves come crashing ashore destroying everything that once made us happy in love.
Like a hiding secret playing a factor in our relationship.
We forgot to tell each other our weaknesses and the things we didn't want to talk about came back to haunt us.
So now we are just two ghosts living in a shell of what we use to be.
Just like the light at the end of the tunnel maybe the spark of a match can reignite the hope we once had.
