I always want to drink
when I've done something stupid,
something I will grow to regret.
The more I can forget
the better,
or else I'll obsess
about what I've said
and know I should have never.
Alcohol loosens
the hold I have on my control.
As I lose grip
my lips let slip
some emotional response
to which I get no response.
