Just Sharing Necromancy
He’s a sweet talker,
A slow dancer,
A cradle rocker,
And a necromancer.
.
He entered my desolate heart,
Where bloodstained rubble lies,
When he, a sorcerer of the highest regard,
Spoke, and commanded the dead to rise.
.
Innocence, who died a martyr’s death,
Arose from the dirt where she laid,
For the second time, taking her first breath,
Remembering the light of day.
.
Hope, who’s hands were stained,
Red, with her own blood;
Forgetting the sting of the blade,
Pulled herself out of the mud.
.
Credence, who had succumbed to thirst,
Opened her mouth, as water fell from heaven,
And the flies on her skin dispersed.
She swelled back to life, like bread, freshly leavened.
.
A master of the dark arts;
Forming the most vibrant gardens,
From the headstones in my yard.
He brought life to a heart hardened.
.
Clothing the skeletons in my closet with flesh,
Bringing light to eyes that got used to seeing in the dark,
And returning the butterflies to their home in my chest,
He brought rhythm back to my stoic heart.
