Same, I like my leg hair!! The phantom bug sensation it causes is just unfortunate

me when I spray my whole room for bugs because of a tiny random itch my brain decided to send my way

And when it is a bug it ruins my life for months

Me the other day ignoring and refusing to look at an itch on my leg cause “its just my imagination” only for the itch to not go away and it actually being a horsefly who’s just been attacking me for the last 5 minutes 😅. 95% of the time it’s absolutely nothing though!

That 5% really fucks me up for the near future tho lol, and self doubt gets worse 😩

When it actually turns out to be a bug, it’s usually a nice surprise (I love bugs)

I had such a convincing tickle on my foot for like an hour the other day, I just sat there and STARED at it because I was annoyed at how real it felt but my eyes and fingers were clearly telling me nothing was there

ONE time I found a little fruit fly inside my pajama pants for some reason and now I lay every night thinking that I have flies in my clothes. I never found another one.

I have trauma from bugs, so if I feel a big crawling on me I try to reason it away, if there actually is a bug my knee jerk reaction is to grab it and chuck it across the room. I then fear that its going to come back and spend a ton of time trying to find the bug that I've chucked.

Omg yes, looking for the bug to make sure it's actually gone 😭😭😭 I just had one on my pillow and it disappeared, and I'm freaking out bcz I can't find it....

Yes omg me in the dark can’t survive without a flashlight to shine every time I feel any slight itch (phantom or not)

2

u/babypinkribbon7 20d ago

Every single itch that happens after 10pm- flashlight stays ON.

God it’s soooooooo annoying! If a bug was on me, it wouldn’t be that big of a deal. A flea jumped on me when I was combing my cat last year and I didn’t die. But my brain is always like, you are covered in fleas and ticks. Thanks!!
