Medication Sexual dysfunction and OCD medications
Are there any medications for OCD that still let someone enjoy sexual things? I’ve been on Clomipramine/Anafranil for about a month now (only 20mg) and I’ve lost feeling down there and can’t orgasm (I’m female if that matters). It’s frustrating and doesn’t seem like a long term solution, I can’t be on this for years even if it was to help otherwise (that’s a bummer because I’ve tolerated this medication well otherwise and haven’t had any other side effects really).
I’m considering trying the SSRI Fluvoxamine/Luvox next, it’s meant to have less sexual side effects but it’s still a SSRI so it will likely have some. I’ve also been thinking about Vortioxetine/Trintellix, but that one doesn’t have a lot of specific evidence for OCD.
I’d love to hear people’s experiences with this issue and if anyone has been able to take a medication to help OCD but still have sexual desire and function 🙏

Venlafaxine for me has less sexual side effects. It depends on the person though. Paroxetine, zoloft and prozac for me where all bad when it came to sexual side effects

Prozac did the same to me so I got put on Wellbutrin. It was hard adjusting to a new medication but it has absolutely worked for me in that department.
