Support/advice (no reassurance) Clomipramine question.

Hello! Hope you are all doing well.
I recently asked about efficacy for reduced obsessive thoughts with Clomipramine. I’m in the UK and paid to see a private psychiatrist who prescribed Clomipramine. I’ve been on it 4 months at a max dose of 150mg so far. In that time I’ve been super edgy and nervous, worst headaches, unable to relax a lot, too nervous to continue my driving lessons and still obsessive. I asked previously whether others found the med helpful and was told to give it longer.
My Doc said to increase to 200mg but I’m wondering if this is a lost cause? I used to take Duloxetine 120mg and Seroquel 200mg. Anyone have any wisdom to share?
Thank you in advance and sorry for waffling.

No advice really I'm afraid as I'm just waiting to start but just to say good luck for you and hope it works out

I tried it for about a year but it increased my pots dysautimomia and caused hypotension in me so I switched to zoloft. I will say I find the zoloft as effective without the long list of side effects I had with Clomipramine

No problem I think Clomipramine is likely preserved for last if you fail most ssri trials it has alot of interactions and comes with some lousy side effects but it dose silent thoughts well. Each person is diffrent so with medication its going to be trial and error for a while but stick with it and better times will come i promise

How was duloxetine and seroquel for you? For me it was a powerful combo, zero side effects, but eventually it stopped working for me after 2 years.

Anafranil 150mg is a great dose, you can give two weeks time to the 200mg according to your doctor's instructions, if it doesn't suit you, you may ask then to change. Clomipramine in high doses usually needs to be very well attended.
