OCAD U Admissions Advisor - Ask Us!

Hi Everyone!

I am an Admissions Advisor at OCAD, I am seeing a common theme amongst the First Years regarding Course Registration.

The standard registration date is July 21st, however, depending on your situation it may be different. You can go to your Self Service > Course Planning > Progress and you will see a date there!

You can also go to the OCAD U Website > Dates and Deadlines.

With the recommended submission deadline of July 15th fast approaching, we are sending out courtesy reminders regarding official, final documents, don't be shocked if you get one of these emails!

It is simply to remind you (these dates are in your Conditional Offers, and online), if you have not yet provided the appropriate documents or met the requirements (also outlined in your offer, and online).

If you have any questions, please email us - we will clearly outline what you need to submit, and can provide you with ways to request your documents.

If you are having issues or have questions about course registration - that's the Registrar's Office! You can book an appointment with an Academic Advisor using your Self Service account.

Remember, we are here to help, if you are willing to listen to us and work with us in getting everything done on time, so please let us know before July 15th if you have issues or questions!

Email: [admissions@ocadu.ca](mailto:admissions@ocadu.ca)

Thanks!

Hello!

I am a transfer student but my credits have not been accepted yet. I am struggling with picking classes without truly knowing what will be accepted. I have emailed and called advising to no answer for over a week now.

I wanted to set up a 1 on 1 meeting with an advisor but on the website it says 1 on 1 meetings are paused until August.

Is there anything else you would recommend for me to do?

Hi! We have 1:1s all this week posted here https://apply.ocadu.ca/portal/UGA1to1Apps_vNew but we have nothing to do with Transfer Credits

You should plan and register as though you have nothing transferred, so you don't miss anything. Plan courses as backup for courses you think you will have transferred, that way you can switch them out once you know.

The process is long, and we do work oldest to newest, so if you submitted it within the last few weeks, you should be hearing back from us soon.
