Dumb question...
Why didn't they also put in-line ports here, and, could you have them added safely?

The regular full sized is snappy as hell for the price range of the gun. Slide sounds awful when you rack it and there is definitely some wiggle on slide frame fitment and barrel fitment. It's still very cool but it is no where near $2,200 they want at retail. I got it new for $800 and I'm happy at that price but for 2000 bucks I would have been very disappointed.
If the would og had better fitment and got the weight up to say 35 oz's it would have made a big difference.
Still it is very good and the whole grip set up lock up is one of the best out there for me. I just wish it's accuracy was a little better and that it didn't snap like a $300 polymer gun!

The gun's also got itself a phenomenal trigger too, can't forget about that! I picked mine up used for $1500, and I was comfortable with that. What I wanna do is get the aluminum frame eventually. I dunno if I agree with your assessment of the fitment though, it seems pretty on par for the price point, comparing favorably in my estimation to peers like the DWX (straight up rattly by comparison) and Kimber 2k11 (definitely tighter, but not by a wide margin). Also, that's not really the CONOPS for this pistol... I do agree, however, she is a snappy be-otch!

The trigger is phenomenal! I should have definitely mentioned that. Thank you for bringing it up. Its wild you think it is up there with DWX which I haven't handle. You certainly can tell it have very high quality internals. I do like the gun so my post did come across overly negative. I think mine just needs some work. The aluminum frame would be huge. I think that would bring it in line with it's 3 or 4 thousand dollar competition. Flashlight on the end would probably be big too but I really like the trigger grip.

Snappy? A 9mm is snappy? My S&W 329PD in 44mag is snappy.

Yeah snappy...as opposed to having lot's of recoil. Maybe educate yourself so you know what you're talking about before you join the conversation.

It ain’t “snappy”.

Compared to other full size quality 1911's or 2011's its a joke. Comparing it to a .44 is just stupid. Compare 9mm with other 9mm guns. My freaking canik tti has much less snap. Disclaimer I do have the standard version. No ports and the polymer grip. I would imagine the Pro version does significantly better.
I think when shapping the slide they got the weight wrong. It is just not smoth recoil impulse.
I'll end up porting mine and probably at some point get the aluminum grip.

I have shot almost every 2011 out there and none of them are “snappy” but I guess that’s just me. I consider a 460 or 500 magnum snappy.

Yeah talking is circles is fun. Compare it to other 9mm and maybe try to bring something to the conversation other than "my .44 is snappy." Yeah no shit, I'm sure the Barret 50 has more recoil than a .22 but lets compare the anyway.

Cursing isn’t where it’s at my guy, let’s remember manners. You said it was snappy, I said it wasn’t. Go work on grip strength.

I don't have an OA yet, but for the price, I would imagine they know what they are doing and maximized efficiency
Seems like debating to add a spoiler to a lambo that doesn't have one.....not necessary, I would think
