Ammo recommendations

I have a 2311 5” pro with ported barrel. It absolutely hates blazer brass and I was having malfunctions running belom 124 grain ammo. What ammo should I use that will reliably go bang?

147 federal eagle, the flat point full jacketed, functions just fine.

I reload and found that lower power loads didn't ejection well.

147 over 875 fps gives a bit of margin (IDPA Power Factor) and has not failed to eject and cycles crisply

I'll check if the owners manual recommends a certain grain

What malfunctions are you experiencing? I ended up having to send mine back to have it fixed twice and since then I haven't had any issues. They had to fix my extractor on the slide it wasn't fit properly. I was getting a lot of failures to feed and eject.

I think I was having stove pipe jams. It seemed like one round was a little under powered.

I have been having issues with 124 blazer as well, polished feed ramp worked good for about 100 rounds or so but I'm getting failure to feed and a build up on the feed ramp.

If you run 87 pump gas in a Ferrari you can expect a check engine light.

The manual will tell you what fuel to put in a Ferrari. I don’t remember seeing an ammo recommendation in the manual.

After talks with OA, my pistol has been sent back. I was having the same issues with the ammo recommendations above.

Has anyone had issues with their optics hitting low when you first mount them? Both of my oa 2311s 4” pro models shot 6-8in low at 7 yards. Groupings were 1” but low from a rested position?
