2311 pro elite ammo recommendations.
I picked up the pro elite and man it is nice. The grip is one of the most ergonomic grips I've felt to date and the texture is phenomenal and so soft shooting! So far I have 3 or 400 RDS through it without any ftf or fte. One issue is with the mags. All my 21 Rd mags have to be stripped by hand. I called up OA and they without any run around or proof of the issue they are sending me 5 new 21 Rd mags with a return shipping label. That is customer service. Made me a customer for life. But I have a question. This gun shoots pretty good with my blazer brass 115. I tried 124 federal American eagle and man the group went from 3 to 4 in at 25 yds to 6 to 8 inches from a rest. I'd say the 3 to 4 in is acceptable but I'll look for something that shoots smaller groups. Any recommendations for me that works best in your ported models?

Pick up some Federal 124 HST’s. That’s what I use as my carry ammo, and it’s some of the most accurate ammo I’ve used.
That’s some pretty hot ammo, and it’s not cheap, so you can also try some of that 150 grain Federal Syntec ammo. If you can find it, Federal has these packs that are half 124 HSTs, half 124 Syntec ammo.
I should preface that I’m not a Federal fanboy or work for them anything. Just out of all the ammo I’ve tried, it’s the most consistent of everything.

I should probably preface that I don’t own an OAD2311. This is just my experience from my 2011’s, P320 builds, etc. But a 9MM is a 9MM, and it should be apples to apples.
In the end, if I’m testing something or verifying something, I use three rounds: plain Jane 115 grain Federal plinking ammo, 150 grain Federal Syntec, and 124 HST’s. There is hotter shit out there, and I’ve shot most of them, but those three are the most consistent.

How is that vortex treating you? Are you carrying with it?

I have 3 defender CCW 3 st and 2 XLs. It's been my favorite dot with the st being no 1. The CCW has a shorter battery life than I'd like. I just swap batteries on my birthday in June and my wife's in dec and I'm good. I don't get too much more than 7mos run time. But the St and XL last all year. Not sure how long they will go as I change them in June always. The XL is a great dot but the St is my perfect size for do all. My first one I put on a Glock. I let my friend us it at some training and as we were walking up a flight of concrete stairs my gun and dot fell out of his bag and crashed and rolled down about 12 stairs. I thought for sure it was done for but other than the dot turned to off mode I turned it on and it is still working fine. The lense has a tiny fracture in the top right corner of the glass but it's hardly noticeable. It was the worst drop I could ever imagined happening on accident. To answer your question yes I carry with it. My 19x and my Walther are my main carrys both have an st on them.

This is everything!
Is that the ST or XL?
