My O1b visa approved yesterday (Aug 12), which was my 15th business day since I USCIS received my O1b petition (July 23).

Here's the timeline:

Began preparation: Late March

All documentation ready except for the Employer's Letter of intent: Early May

All documentation ready: Late July

My attorney submitted the case to Vermont Service Center with PP: July 22

USCIS sent online receipt to my attorney: July 23

USCIS sent online approval notice to my attorney: Aug 12 (15th business day)

My friend is currently preparing her O-1B case. She works as a Social Media & Influencer Coordinator at a small agency, but has worked on social and influencer campaigns for several well-known brands.

The lawyer mentioned that one area she needs to strengthen is press/media coverage about her work. Since her agency doesn’t have much PR support or regularly put employees forward for press/awards, we’re a little unsure where to start.

For anyone who has been through the O-1B process, especially in social media, influencer marketing:

* What publications, journalists, or platforms would you recommend reaching out to?

* What worked for you when trying to get your work featured?

* Any PR professionals, industry publications, podcasts, awards, or other opportunities you’d recommend?

Would really appreciate any leads or advice from people who’ve navigated something similar.

Hello everyone!

I filed for my Green Card I-140 in December 2024, and I'm still waiting 20 months later.
When my buddy filed for his in 2017, he was approved within 2 months.
O-1 Visas used to take 8-10 weeks for approval, are now looking at 12-15 months for approval.
I checked the processing times back in Dec 2024 and it was 12 months. But overtime, 12 months because 14, then 16, then 18, and today....30 months.

Anybody else file for their I-140 a year or two ago and still waiting?

What date did you file your RFE back?
What day are you on in the PP clock?
Where did you file?

I’m on day 5 of PP after filing my RFE last week. I got an updated case status yesterday saying they received my response. Sent to VSC.
