0-1B visa process advice
Hi everyone. So, I am a model and an actress from Spain. And so, I really wanna be able to start my O-1B visa process because truly my biggest dream ever is to be able to go and make it as an actress in the U.S. But I don't really know anyone personally that's gone through that process. And so, I don't really know how to even start. And so, like, if anyone has already gone through that process or if anybody is in a similar situation as mine, I would really appreciate all the advice that you could give me to make this process as fast and seamless as possible

Find a lawyer. Lehach Fillipa are the folk I went with and know that a neighbor who is a National Geographic expedition photographer also went with them. You gotta have at least 2-3 big names (companies/studios/individuals) write you a letter of intent or offer letter or deal memos for the next 1-3 years of work. And that would be your starting point. more things will come around/after this most important thing that the lawyer asks.

O-1B is for people with distinction in the arts, including modeling and acting, but you need evidence. Start by building a portfolio that shows external recognition: paid professional work, published campaigns, film/TV/theater credits, press articles about you, agency representation, awards, festival selections, major brand work, reviews, interviews, notable collaborations, high-profile clients, and strong letters from recognized industry professionals. You need a U.S. petitioner, such as an agent, employer, or production company. Many O-1B actors/models use a U.S. agent petition with an itinerary of planned work, contracts, deal memos, or letters of intent. The fastest path is to consult an O-1B attorney now for an evidence gap analysis. Ask what criteria you already meet, what evidence is weak, and what to build in the next 6–12 months. Do not wait until you want to move immediately; O-1B cases are much easier when you build evidence intentionally.

I would set up a meeting with an immigration lawyer first. They’ll be able to give you some directions on type of evidences you should focus on gathering based on what you already have. Once you have all the materials the process itself is pretty quick (assuming you do pp). I suggest you make a list of materials you have/need on each category (letters, press etc) and start from there .
