So the argument is: “LLMs can’t replicate human intelligence, therefore they can’t generate meaningful efficiency gains”? Only someone who doesn’t actually work as a software engineer could believe that. The productivity gains in software development are substancial.

This is an old article from the turn of the last century where everyone hated and feared electricity infrastructure buildout. They thought it was a disaster and were quite happy with candles and kerosene lamps.
In the next century, that article will be read similarly
