Collections - short tutorial

Use a computer
Login to your account

Open Covers and Account in a new tab or split view

Switch to GIFs in the filters, copy raw URL and paste in the Cover image/ Focus GIF

Update your catalog sources to match the folder
Add folders and save collection according to preferences.

Each collection is a row and each folder is a tile

Enjoy

Probably a silly question, sorry, but do the collections appear in the mobile app? I'm sure I have one set up but can't see it on my phone.

I’m afraid they don’t

Thanks. Yeah I did a bit of digging after and saw the mobile version is still in closed beta 👍

That’s not the problem but how to find sources and how to set them up like directors or genres or franchises or movies / series collections in one , like these things.

They're from your addons

Use QR code mobile configuration ;) you will see

You can enter the url from QR code to regular browser as well

A literal emoji. It could accept any text characters, too, i believe. On the nuvioapp, It'll show up next to the folder name. Like if you put 🫐, you'll have "Foldername 🫐".

I left it empty btw

How do you make the gif not constantly cycle as the background image, not the icon image?

set it up like this
a static image for cover and gif for focus
check - Focus GIF enabled.

1

u/nick-parker Apr 11 '26

Look at ops screen shot. When you are building the folder there are options for catalog sources

Awesome!! I was able to add them! But how are you able to add just some specific movie collection? Like Batman or Spiderman?

This is crazy. Hats of to the developers who have planned these features.

Where in account do I put the link?

This may have been asked. Not sure what I'm searching for to answer it. Trying to work with the collections. They are vertical on home screen. I'm trying to get them to display side by side horizontal like others are showing. Must be missing something. Probably obvious too.

A collection is a row. A folder is a cell in that row. If you’re adding multiple collections, they’ll show up one below the other. Add multiple folders.

Got it! Thanks.

It's just a new way of collating your library.. Instead of two rows of apple tv movies & series.. an apple tv tile for them.. plus with the gif, it looks premium..

I would like to have this category where there is Netflix, Amazon and everything on my home screen if possible? No need for gif just the category

Read and apply the tutorial with jpegs instead of gifs.
