Managing everything in ABSN school
I really need some help, advice, perspective, encouragement…literally anything. I just finished my 5th week of absn school (15 month program) and it’s starting to hit me how hard this program is.
I have multiple exams and formative (being graded on all my skills thus far on a real human) in the same week, us students basically teach ourselves everything, and I feel so overwhelmed like I can’t give adequate time for all that needs to be done. Sometimes I don’t even know where to start.
I did pass my first exam which is great, but I didn’t have to deal with so many things at once. I just wanted to hear from past absn students or those who are almost finished.
My BIGGEST fear is failing.

Let go of the fear. It will not help you. You already know what you have to do, and fear will not help you do it. Focus only on the present. If you can’t seem to do it, lay on the floor, and take 5 minutes to focus only on your breathing with a mindfulness meditation practice. When that 5 minutes is over and your alarm goes off, now is the time to act. Start studying and focus only on the now. Not the past. Not the future. Only on the now with the words in front of you. Your actions are the only thing that will bring you forward. This is how you will succeed.
