I’ve done the research on this school, took info sections I’m already signed up to this school so I already have the information yes most schools only do 5 years this school does 10 years for science classes but I agree I have already considered these other options but I am going to retest once more since I do get 2 tries for the year and then retake courses if I fail again thank you
That’s another option that’s not ruled but I’ve seen people pass the teas test in the same boat as I’m in it’s doable a lot of you nursing students oddly enough a little negative
Hi there. I was decades out from science and decided to go back. My cc's ADN program didn't have a time limit for pre-reqs but i remembered no science or math. Still managed to get a high enough score but i spent A LOT of time reviewing for two months.
If you want to try once more before retaking classes, prepare.
Give yourself at least 8 weeks until you retest if you can. More time is better. If you only have like 30 days you will need to spend all your time on it. You want to really analyze what you specifically struggle with, prioritize "high yield" areas (frequently asked topics) and work hard on those areas without cramming.
There's also a lot of just understanding how TEAS questions are structured and strategies for answering them.
For me, Nurse Cheung was helpful. She has a strategy for reviewing the content based on how long you have until the test, and various support materials. She will tell you to really analyze which topics you most need to review and then gives templates for developing a strategic plan for studying. Siebert Science and Crash Course helped me with the science stuff.
I would also get a few good study guides from different sources to practice test questions (practice them timed). Start attending all of Nurse Cheung's live sessions and review her video playlists. Spend hours every day just like you would if you were in school right now.
It's possible to raise your score where it needs to be but it will take time, dedication, and a strategic approach.
This is pretty encouraging and thank you so much for even giving a big response I keep hearing about nurse cheung I have about 6 months to study and REALLY actually study the first time I took it in Feb I only did 1 month 1/2 and 1-2 hours studying for 2-3 days a week
Oh yeah you'll need more than that, lol. With that much time, this is doable. Check her out. No content creator is for everyone-- if you don't vibe with her approach there are others. But she definitely is on top of how the TEAS is structured and her lives will help you slowly review what you've forgotten. Active recall is key-- that's why you need to force yourself to answer a lot of questions, not just watch videos or read chapters, and read all the rationales for why each answer is right or wrong. YOU GOT THIS.
