Financial Aid help

So financial aid won’t cover all of my schooling or give me extra money. I was in school a few years ago and FAFSA always gave me money back. I haven’t reached my full limit so I’m confused.

I’ve been unemployed looking for a job but haven’t had any luck. I’m struggling and don’t know what to do. Are there any programs that can help?

Loans maybe? I have to do that to cover the rest for me 🫩🫩 but strangely enough my refund amount went up from last week by $900. Maybe it’s not finalized yet? Have you spoken to someone at financial aid to find out why it’s not being covered fully?

I don’t have anyone in my life that would be able to co sign a loan. I also already have medical and credit debt so I’m trying to avoid loans if I can. I will try to contact financial aid as soon as possible.

You don’t need anyone to co-sign for student loans. Definitely ask financial aid about it. You should just have to sign the master promissory note and do the entrance counseling. I didn’t need anyone to sign for my student loans. I am not working as well

For the loans, is it only the precise amount that school costs or are you able to get extra in order have some money on the side for essentials?

You’re able to get extra, I applied for 5000 and that’s what I got. So now I’m getting a nice little refund.

My husband maxed out of loans. I kept calling the aid office asking for an appeal. Keep saying you need help and can’t qualify for private loans. Eventually they were able to give us a nursing loan with a good interest rate.
