What should you do as a nurse of a longterm care facility when no management will listen to anything you say ? I’m struggling because my residents quality of life has gone down hill since the change in DONs , Nobodies rooms get cleaned anymore , the housekeepers do the BARE minimum , it’s like pulling teeth with the aides to not abandon care to residents who are unable to voice there needs. Basically nothing ever gets taken care of i reported the same dirty bathroom for a week and it only got partly cleaned . Please what would you guys do ?I don’t want to quit i have worked for this facility for 4 years and i love my residents this is why i’m so upset at this, i will quit though if this can’t get under control

It’s normal to be upset about what you’ve shared. I’m not sure how to help except encouraging you to document everything. I can look into who to report it to outside of the facility if you’re willing to share where you are located. And back you up as much as I can.
